One of the great things about my job is that I get to experience and be a part of a variety of different cultures. Here is a snippet of Mala and Will's traditional wedding ceremony.

It's time for Thanksgiving.
Hey everyone,
I apologize for not updating until now. I have been busy editing and getting videos out for the holidays. I have posted two new videos. One is of Scott and Kaoru's photo session. It was a beautiful day in Westport and I have just given a taste of how scenic the day really was.
The second is of Shivali Gupta's Aarangetrum. It is sort of a rite of passage in the Indian religion. Note the colorful outfit.
I want to wish everyone a great Thanksgiving and thank you for letting Laird Productions be a part of your memories.
All the best,
Shawn

It's been a Whirlwind!!
Wow,
The month is just about over and it's almost time to take a breath. Every weekend this month has been booked solid. I can't complain as I have been witness to many varied and different wedding ceremonies. It's the people that make this business great and I'm been very lucky that my clients have been a real joy to work with. I have a few weddings left this year and have begin to seriously edit. I have attached the newest recap I finished of Lauren and Bill. I had done Bill's brothers wedding last year and really enjoyed working with this young couple.
All the best,
Shawn

We're back!
Ireland was great. What a beautiful and interesting country. Although driving on the left side of the road was a bit tough. It's good to be back as I am refreshed, relaxed and inspired. I have attached a few pictures from my trip. Hope you enjoy them. The irish cow was especially into being photographed.

It's Sunday, a Videographer's work is never done.
It's Sunday, and I am in the middle of duplicating DVD's for the Lenihan School of Irish Dance. I have been taping their recitals for the last 5 years. The kids do a great job, and it's a good warmup this year to my excursion to Ireland. Although, I am sure I won't be hearing Irish Dance music the whole time.
Friday's wedding was a blast. Caitlin and Matthew were great to work with. The Stone Barn did a nice job and there was lots of crazy dancing to shoot. The photographer was Victoria from Victoria Souza Photography and her husband. They were a real treat to work with.
Now it is crunch time. I have some recitals and weddings to try to get mailed out before I leave on Thursday.
Not to mention my dog Moo has suddenly developed an itch. We have doused him with flea powder so hopefully that will do the trick. The poor guy.
Talk to you soon.
