It's Sunday, a Videographer's work is never done.

It's Sunday, and I am in the middle of duplicating DVD's for the Lenihan School of Irish Dance. I have been taping their recitals for the last 5 years. The kids do a great job, and it's a good warmup this year to my excursion to Ireland. Although, I am sure I won't be hearing Irish Dance music the whole time.

Friday's wedding was a blast. Caitlin and Matthew were great to work with. The Stone Barn did a nice job and there was lots of crazy dancing to shoot. The photographer was Victoria from Victoria Souza Photography and her husband. They were a real treat to work with.

Now it is crunch time. I have some recitals and weddings to try to get mailed out before I leave on Thursday.

Not to mention my dog Moo has suddenly developed an itch. We have doused him with flea powder so hopefully that will do the trick. The poor guy.

Talk to you soon.

Friday Night Wedding

It's Friday, and I'm a few hours away from filming Caitlin Clarkson's wedding at Whitney Farms Golf Course.  Having grown up in Monroe, I am very familiar with the venue and am looking forward to a nice evening.

In the mean time, I have just posted the recap video for Tara and Ole.  I filmed their wedding earlier this summer at The Inn at Longshore in Westport.  Despite the rain in the morning, the weather cleared up and made way for a very scenic photo session.

One more week and I'm off to Ireland.  It'll be nice to relax and soak in the atmosphere on the other side of the ocean.  It's a good thing that green is my favorite color.

All the best,

Shawn

I'm in!

Well, here is my first post for my new blog detailing what is happening at Laird Productions. This Saturday I was privileged to be a part of Brian and Shannon Wassman's wedding. It was a great day. Their ceremony was at St. Lawrence in Huntington and the reception was at the Waterview in Monroe. They were a real pleasure to work with.

After their wedding ended, I then set out for Derby to setup a slideshow presentation for a retiring Corrections officer Anthony Bilotto. I worked with Pam on the slideshow, and really enjoyed the great response from all of Anthony's coworkers and friends. Pam did a great job scripting and gathering the photos that totaled over 220.

This weekend is an off weekend. Well, not really as I am actually taping my wife's college roommate's wedding in Hartford. Maura and Glen are finally tying the knot. It's okay as I don't really consider it work, instead just helping out two friends.

Well, take care and talk to you soon.
